I try to run this trail at least once a week when I’m home. What makes it perfect is I can head out my front door and start running. It’s only about a km until I get into trail land so I love the fact I don’t have to drive. I’ve posted this run on the Trail Run Project site. By the way, if you’re looking for trails, this site is a great resource pretty much anywhere you may be in the world.
Anyway I always run with my dog Annie. She loves being up there and tearing up the trail. I always have a love/hate thing running with Annie. She’s a real clown and keeps me amused the whole run but she loves to get up in my face on the steep parts, probably saying “hurry up lard butt”. It’s also a great motivation to get her out as she’s a high energy dog and it’s not good if I don’t burn some of that off.
Had fun today as I recently purchased a new camera. It’s a Nikon Coolpix AW130. Waterproof up to 100 feet (don’t think I’ll use that!), shock proof up to 7 ft (definitely need this!), and has GPS and wifi. I’ve been taking lots of pics (as you can see on the Trail Run Project page) but today was the maiden voyage of the underwater feature. I hesitated and then plunged it in a little stream. Worked great until Annie jumped in right close to it and stirred up the water. I guess in the end I got to find out that the camera lived up to what it promised. Can’t wait to try it again. To see more pics of the trail head on over here!
It was a great way to ring in the new season. Can’t wait to hit it again.
